Eight months for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) via Express Entry
What is the Express Entry system?
The quickest way to obtain Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada is through the Express Entry system. After submitting the required paperwork, it will take six months to process, per the ITA.
Express Entry uses a point-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rate applicant profiles. After receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA), the top-scoring candidates can submit an application for permanent residence.
Express Entry is the application management system used by the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
As long as they meet the requirements, candidates for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) who are in the Express Entry pool are automatically eligible for all “no program specified” or general draws as well as any other category-based rounds of invitations.
